Approximately three years ago I stumbled onto Betfair, from then on I have used most of my spare time to follow what has become a passion for trying to understand and make money from sports betting and sports trading.
Over the course of the last three years I have developed or acquired numerous methods, angle, tools and systems that work, I have also fallen foul to most of the common mistakes and pitfalls that befall the novice sports investor(I prefer the term sports investor to sports bettor or sports trader).
I feel that now I have served my sports investing apprenticeship and that I am ready to progress to the next stage which I consider to be to treat my sports investing as a part time business which should hopefully see me make consistent profits so that I can eventually reach my goal of becoming a full time professional sports investor.
I have created this blog and its sister blog
The Free Bets Report. To become a useful resource to myself and anyone who hopes to make sports investing more profitable.
I will use this blog as an ongoing record of the results of my betting/trading activity, I will also use the blog to review & discuss systems, methods, tools, angles and tipping services.I will also discuss the mathematics and psychological aspects of betting/trading which will contribute to gaining that elusive edge will also share sports betting news and information that I think will be of interest or that is just plain good fun.
With regards to my reviews. I know there are others doing reviews but where I hope my reviews will be of value, will be that I will not just trial them for the usual month or two as I believe these sort of reviews tell us very little because they are in my opinion statistically irrelevant.
With each review that I undertake, I will set up a separate bank and will then proceed to use and review the system or product for a minimum of one year; the only situation that will stop the review before the year is up will be if the bank is lost. When the first year is over I will do a final review and make a decision as to whether to carry on.Because of my policy of doing reviews for at least a year I will be very choosy about what I review. So I envisage only a few reviews being undertaken at any one time.
Trust and Transparency will be the bywords for this blog which means that I will endeavour to give a true and honest appraisal with regards to betting products or services that I review, so if a product or service has shortcomings or is in my opinion of no benefit I will say so.Where I recommend a product or service I will also list links to all of the genuine reviews (positive or negative) that I can find for them. I will also let my blogs readers know of any free products or services even if they are in direct competition with the products that I recommend and will get an affiliate payment for.
